In this slot car race game, you can choose your car's color along with one of eight different tracks. Controls are simple - just press the Alt key or click/tap the trigger icon to accelerate; release to brake.
The game allows one or two players, plus you can choose to run a quick race or try for the challenge and win at all eight tracks. Choose a difficulty level from easy, medium, hard, or extreme.
For single player, use the Alt key or click/tap the controller icon to speed up. Release the key/controller to slow down. In two-player mode, Player One uses the Alt key and Player Two uses the Ctrl key (or taps the icon on the screen if playing on a mobile device).
Tips & Tricks
It doesn't take a lot of speed for your car to go off the track. In some cases, your car might go off-track in a straightaway. That being said, you'll want to spend most of your time accelerating. Let off the accelerator as you come up on curves, but don't let up much because you'll lose speed quickly. Once you start getting fairly good, it's especially fun to bump your opponent's car off the track!
Slot Car Race Review
I've enjoyed playing this game and completing all the different tracks. It's sometimes a little frustrating when the car comes out of its slot on a straight section, but maybe that happens in real life as well.
I remember when I was a kid, and one Christmas, Santa brought us a Tyco slot car race track. I never could quite get the hang of it, but I suspect that had at least a little bit to do with the fact that the cars wouldn't really run very well on it. Certainly not fast enough to come out of their slots. At any rate, this little game brings back fond memories of those days gone by.
